Metropolitan Museum of Art (also known as the Met) in New York has a really neat resource available for free online. It's called the
Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History; it's a "chronological, geographical, and thematic exploration of the history of art from around the world, as illustrated by the Museum's collection." You can read more about it
